Racism isn’t getting worse, it’s getting filmed ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

Now Stop, just stop saying ‘all lives matter’. You’re saying it and using the hashtag more so now since the video of George Floyd went viral.

By Saying or writing ‘All Lives Matter’ you may think of equal rights for everyone, but in fact it’s become a viral trend which masks the severity of racism encountered in our schools, offices, court systems, police departments, and countless other places.

The ‘All Lives Matter’ hashtag is an insult to any non-white person. It mutes our voices and belittles the very clear message we’re spreading of racial injustice. And just be even clearer, this isn’t just happening now or has been happening within the past few years – This has been happening for countless centuries.

Let’s simplify this for you.  #BlackLivesMatter began as a national movement and has become so powerful it is recognised internationally.  The movement is dedicated to exposing and challenging structural racism. Simple.

So do All Lives Matter? Yes of course they do but saying, writing or using the hashtag doesn’t change the fact that there is gross inequality in society for black people from police brutality, violence and lack of economic opportunities.

So for some of you, there is no need to be angry that you don’t have a movement, be happy that you don’t need one.
